    Membership Information

    Highland Rim SHRM meetings are held throughout the year and feature presentations on current human resource issues. Plant tours are offered during the year in lieu of a monthly meeting. Members have the opportunity to observe and learn about the operations of different local businesses. An annual seminar is held in the fall which covers employment law issues and other relevant HR topics. Guests are welcome to attend.

    Annual membership fees are due on January 1st of each year, or upon submission of an application for new membership. Memberships are individual and are not transferable to other individuals. Contact one of our Chapter Officers for more information by clicking hereto visit our Officers page.

    Membership Fee

    Regular Membership - $50 (if national SHRM member)

    Regular Membership - $75 (non-national SHRM member)

    Student Membership - $20

    Membership Eligibility

    Regular Members: Persons whose professional employment is in the field of human resource management, full-time consultants in the field of human resource management; faculty members in personnel, human resources or industrial relations and employees of temporary employment agencies or employment firms.

    Student Members: Individuals who are actively enrolled in human resources degree programs at the college or university level and who are not currently employed in the human resource profession. Student members may not vote and may not hold office in the Chapter.

    Benefits of Membership

    Monthly Meetings: Luncheon meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month. 

    HRSHRM Newsletter: News on chapter activities and articles on human resource issues are included in quarterly newsletters which are linked to the web site and are distributed to members. Select Newsletter to view our current chapter newsletter.

    Membership Directory: The membership listing is provided for the development and networking of our members. No member shall actively solicit business from another member through the use of this information.

    Employment Opportunities: Information on job opportunities and resumes of individuals seeking employment are distributed to members by e-mail.
