Highland Rim SHRM is presenting a training session on how to prepare for an active shooter in the workplace. In today’s environment we’ve unfortunately learned the unthinkable is possible. Our speaker Mr. Sean Earle is a special agent who has worked secret service detail and protected dignitaries at a recent political convention. Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. Since these incidents are typically over in a short period of time individuals must be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with an active shooter situation. The training will cover steps to take to prevent and prepare for potential active shooter incidents and what to do when confronted with an active shooter. Both large and small businesses can benefit from this information. Human Resource professionals, business owners, managers and supervisors are welcome to attend this free training.
